Date Changes
Please note the following date changes:
  • Junior Duathlon - Friday 2 March with a postponement date of Friday 9 March
  • Start-up Party/Bike Track Opening Celebration – Wednesday 21 February with a postponement of Thursday 22 March
  • Year 6 Camp will now run from Tuesday 1 May to Friday 4 May

Year 5 Education Outside The Classroom Activities
Our Year 5 students will be involved in sailing and water confidence activities at Lake Rua on Wednesday 14 February and Thursday 15 February 2018. Trained sailing and water instructors will be working with the children with these activities.
Bike Track Opens
We are pleased to announce that our bike track will be open from Monday 12 February.
The Bike Track Roster is as follows:
  • Monday
  • Morning Tea - Own Bike
  • Lunch - Rooms 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 17, 21, 23, 25
  • Tuesday
  • Morning Tea - Own Bike
  • Lunch - Rooms 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24
  • Wednesday
  • Morning Tea - Scooters
  • Lunch - Scooters
  • Thursday
  • Morning Tea - Own Bike
  • Lunch - Rooms 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 17, 21, 23, 25
  • Friday
  • Morning Tea - Own Bike
  • Lunch - Rooms 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24
The schools bikes will be used during class time and will not be available during morning tea or lunchtimes.
Please refer to the February newsletter for the Helmet and Bike Check guide sheets or if you do not want your child to ride a bike please complete the link in the newsletter and let their teacher know.
Please note:
  • It is a parent’s responsibility to check their child’s bike is road legal and safe, that the child has a standards-approved cycle helmet, that the helmet is adjusted correctly and their know knows how to put the helmet on, secure it and also take it off.
  • Students may not cycle in the school grounds during school hours (other than on the cycle track during morning interval and lunch time.
  • Students must place their cycles in the cycle stands, or beside the cycle stands which are currently located towards the school entrance off Martbern Crescent.
  • Students can also make use of the bikes and helmets that have been donated to our school. If you don’t want your child riding a bike please let your teacher know, or click thie link:
A reminder that all property brought to school by students is the responsibility of those students.

We hope to be able to have all children back on the majority of our school playing field from Wednesday 14 February, 2018
